Background

Seven change orders were executed this period in a cumulative amount representing $255,983. The three largest change orders are summarized below:

The Temecula Valley Regional Water Reclamation Facility 23 MGD Expansion Project had an additive change order in the amount of $87,083 for the Tertiary Effluent Pump Station flooding issue that occurred on February 14, 2019. An insurance claim for the damage has been created to capture all costs related to the issue. The District's insurance adjuster has reviewed the costs and has responded with approval for entitlement in the amount of $87,083. Total costs submitted to date for this issue are $1,083,021.

The Indian Street Raw Water 12-inch pipeline had an additive change order in the amount of $65,308. The largest line item includes $54,223 to replace existing concrete pavement from construction joint to construction joint in lieu of just the trench width as requested by the City of Moreno Valley.

The Solar Renewable Energy Initiative - Phase 3 Site Preparation Construction Project had an additive change order in the amount of $61,063 to provide labor, equipment, and materials to stabilize the bottom of Pond 9 due to saturated materials. Once the bottom of the pond was stabilized the contractor began contract work to fill the pond to create a pad for the new Solar Array. This work occurred at the Moreno Valley Regional Water Reclamation Facility.
