Background

On February 14, 2019, Eastern Municipal Water District’s Integrated Recharge and Recovery (IRRP) Ponds were severely damaged during the region’s major storm event.  During the rainstorm, the IRRP Pond’s internal and external berms were breached allowing large deposits of silt, debris, and driftwood to accumulate within the ponds and surrounding areas.

In an effort to quickly repair and restore the ponds and restart Ground Water Recharge Operations, District staff mobilized and began removing silt, debris, and driftwood from the ponds and repairing the berms.
