Background

The District’s Administrative Code, Article 7, Section 3.713, provides that surplus personal property having an individual, fair market value of $15,000 or greater, shall be presented to the Board of Directors with recommendations for disposal.  Currently, the District’s Mechanical Services and Fleet Services departments have identified six separate assets (five standby generators and one sewer cleaning truck) for disposition which, subject to the final selling price, may exceed the $15,000 threshold.

 

As shown in the table below, based on the age, condition, and current market for this type of equipment, anticipated selling prices exceed $15,000 per item.
