Background

In September of 2018, Governor Brown signed Senate Bill 998, the Water Shutoff Protection Act. The purpose of the Act is to provide additional procedural protections to the residential water customers before the discontinuation of water service. The presentation provides an overview of the bill and highlights key provisions found in the bill.
